Description

Rare and Lovely CGA Graded Gem Uncirculated 66 1928 $5000

Fr. 2220-A $5000 1928 Federal Reserve Note. CGA Gem Uncirculated 66.
This is one of four consecutive Boston district Series 1928 $5,000's to surface nearly a decade ago. It's the nicest one of the group, and has been graded as Gem Uncirculated 66 and encapsulated by CGA. It is a truly lovely piece, with vivid colors and virtually perfect face centering. The Taylor Family Collection example, which we sold in February, was a hair less nice than this piece and realized $120,750 after spirited bidding. We see no reason why this superior example will realize any less tonight.
