Description:
Fantastic University Place Red Seal
University Place, NE - $10 1902 Red Seal Fr. 613 The First NB Ch. # (W)7737
A fantastic new discovery which is the only Red Seal ever seen from this very scarce Lancaster County bank. This community no longer exists as an independent entity, having been absorbed into the city of Lincoln in 1926. Fortunately for collectors, this piece is also the finest known from the bank by a huge margin. It has the appearance of a fully uncirculated note, with a bright red overprint and vivid purple pen signatures, and has retained its top selvage, indicating that it was likely cut from the sheet as a presentation piece. Its only flaw is a miniscule repair that can barely be seen within the PCGS holder. Apparent Choice About New 58, a great Nebraska note worthy of the finest of collections.
