Lovely Two Digit Serial Number 56 $5 Educational

Fr. 268 $5 1896 Silver Certificate PCGS Superb Gem New 67PPQ.
One of the very nicest Five Dollar Eds that we have had the pleasure of handling...and we have handled more than a few in our nearly four decades of cataloging. This one looks the way we all wish they all looked. It is loaded with technical merit to go along with its knockout eye appeal, and comes with low serial number 56 as a bonus. The note has boardwalk margins all around with letter perfect centering of both sides. It is loaded with deep, original embossing, and the overprint is crisp and sharp, without a trace of the overinking that often appears on high grade $5 Eds. We have handled an awful lot of very nice Five Dollar Educationals and do not often emote about them, but this one is truly something special. If you can afford and collect only the very finest of notes, this is something you should absolutely return home with tonight.
