Description
The Finest Known Friedberg 203
Fr. 203 $50 1863 Interest Bearing Note Very Fine-Extremely Fine. The finest of the seven known examples, a number of which never reach the market, this piece is a considerably nicer example than the Taylor specimen which we sold last February. That note in active bidding reached a level of $29,900 on an estimate of $20,000 up. This piece has a far more pleasing appearance and its only restorations are of extremely minor edge problems and do not affect the design.Auction Info
