Newark, NJ- State Bank at Newark $2 Jan. 1, 1862This is a well-executed counterfeit of this design. Genuine notes are listed as SENC in Haxby. The bank was incorporated in 1812 and became the National State Bank of Newark, charter number 1452, in 1865. Fine.
