Description
Massachusetts October 18, 1776 9d PMG Very Fine 25. The detail is particularly strong on the face of this attractive Codfish. Paul Revere printed the faces and John Gill printed the backs. The design on the back includes a cast cut of a pine tree. Gill was born in Charlestown, MA. Only 5143 of these notes were printed and this example is numbered 4817.
