Description

Providence, RI- Bank of the Republic $1 July 7, 1855
George Washington's portrait is seen in the center of this $1 from a bank that carried a grandiose name, but only lasted three years in business. The bank was incorporated in 1854. Nathaniel A. Eddy was the president and C.M. Howlet was the cashier. Very Good.
