Description

Fr. 1382 Fractional Currency Shield, With Gray Background.
The notes are representative for a Shield down to the fading of the 25¢ Second Issue back. Three of the hand-signed notes are of the earlier Colby-Spinner tandem, while the 15¢ note has the signatures of Jeffries-Spinner. This Shield is in a turn of the Twentieth Century type frame and is also free of the frequently seen water stains. We do see where it was once horizontally cracked across the fourth row of notes from the bottom, but it has been nicely repaired. It is ready for framing while the backing shows some tearing and scotch tape repairs. This can be quickly and easily corrected. A great addition to a numismatist's den or office.
