Harrisburg, TX- Briscoe, Harris & Co. $5-$5-$10-$20 Medlar UNL Uncut SheetA great Texas rarity, with all of the denominations represented on this sheet unlisted in the Medlar reference. Although clearly a Texas issue, complete with the Lone Star figure at the bottom, these notes were payable in Baltimore. In fact, the only $5 note we've ever handled was sold as part of the Shank Maryland obsolete collection fifteen years ago, while the sole $20 example was sold as part of the Ivy collection a decade ago. We've not seen or heard of an uncut sheet from this issuer. PCGS Apparent Very Fine 25, with some minor internal holes and splits, a great sheet worthy of the finest collection.
