Chittenango, NY - $5 1875 Fr. 401 The First NB Ch. # 179An extremely rare note from the only bank to issue in this Madison County hamlet. This short lived institution issued First Charter examples only before liquidating in 1883, with a mere three pieces comprising the entire census. Our consignor has owned this note for nearly three decades, and its appearance here after all those years affords the opportunity for one other fortunate collector to add a note from this most elusive location to his holdings. Nice Fine-Very Fine.
