Fr. 190b $10 1864 Compound Interest Treasury Note PMG Very Good 6. From our 2006 FUN sale, where it was described as, "The parts of the note that are present grade fully Very Fine, but there are four large pieces missing in the top margin that have carried away some meaningful pieces of the design. In the hands of the proper restorer, this note would regain the appearance of a solid VF, and even labeled as 'restored' it would surely be a $5,000 note. As it lays, we would anticipate a realization of about..." The note remains attractive despite the missing pieces which PMG has noted on the holder.Auction Info
