New to the Market PCGS Graded 1928B $2 Legal Tender Star
Fr. 1503* $2 1928B Legal Tender Note. PCGS Very Fine 25PPQ.This is one of the classic rarities in the field of small size notes, an item up there in rarity and desirability with the 1804 dollar or 1913 Liberty Head nickel. Only eight surviving examples have been recorded, including this new to the market specimen. The note is bright, nicely centered, and possesses a sharp red overprint. It displays no flaws whatever, and carries the PPQ designation from PCGS, confirming its originality and premium paper quality. In an era when great rarities are bringing record prices on the few occasions they become available, it would not surprise us at all to see this excessively rare star easily reach and perhaps well exceed...
