Obstruction and Shift Error
Fr. 1911-K $1 1981 Federal Reserve Note. PCGS Very Fine 25.This Dallas Ace is a spectacular error. At first glance, it appears to have just a minor shift of the third printing, a common error on FRN aces. However, the serial number at right was obstructed at the time of printing. Obstructions are extremely scarce errors and this may be the first time we have seen it combined with a shifted print. Estimating an error like this is new to us, but with our many years of experience our best estimation could be easily exceeded this evening.
