Description

Newly Discovered Dallas $5000

Fr. 2221-K $5000 1934 LGS Federal Reserve Note. PMG Very Fine 30.
The $5,000 and $10,000 offered here this evening were nothing more than figures on a balance sheet at a bank until very recently. Luckily for the collecting community, the notes were given a chance to be auctioned rather than sent to the Federal Reserve to be redeemed and locked up forever, or even worse, destroyed. The $5,000 offered here is fresh, unadulterated and for an unknown reason does not carry an EPQ designation. Embossing of Madison's frock can be seen in the open area on the back of the note and the paper is fresh and attractive. The Light Green Seal is bright and attractive.
