Darwin, CA- Defiance Mining Company $10 June 27, 1876The last of these excessively rare notes, and perhaps the final opportunity for many years to own an example with such great historical importance. This piece was issued at the very end of June, 1876, barely a month before the mine and smelter closed. Bright PMG Choice Fine 15 Net, with one trivial repaired split at the bottom which affects nothing.
