$50 Iowa Brown Back
Davenport, IA - $50 1882 Brown Back Fr. 510 The Citizens NB Ch. # 1671A very scarce type and denomination from any bank, although this is the easiest bank in Iowa from which to obtain a $50 Brown Back thanks to a small hoard assembled by an astute banker or bankers over a several decade period from the 1890s through the 1930s. Seven examples are known, with all grading Fine or Very Fine. This pen signed problem free example is certain to please. PMG Very Fine 20.
