Colonial Notes
Continental Congress Issue May 10, 1775 $30 Choice Crisp Uncirculated.Although tightly margined this is a very difficult issue from which to obtain high grade notes. The signatures and serial number are boldly printed and even the red ink Roberts signature has not faded which is rather unusual.
Continental Congress Issue November 29, 1775 $1 Gem Crisp Uncirculated.A wonderfully well margined example of this early Continental with strong signatures and serial number.
Continental Currency July 22, 1776 $5 Gem New. An outstanding piece of Continental Currency with everything going for it. Well signed, well printed, well centered, and bright.
Continental Congress Issue January 14, 1779 $80 Gem Crisp Uncirculated.A superlative example of this highest denomination Continental which is much scarcer in high grade than the others of this particular issue. The margins are broad and the print quality fantastic. This one could bring a runaway price before the hammer falls.
Continental Congress Issue January 14, 1779 $80 Crisp Uncirculated. This is a lovely example of this much scarcer denomination which happens to be the highest denomination of all the Continental issues. This note appears to be very well printed with solid margins. The paper is lightly toned and there are a couple of light sheet margins which prevent a higher grade.
Connecticut June 7, 1776 1s Gem Crisp Uncirculated.A beautiful note with embossing so deep is can merely be seen in full without having to even feel for it. The print quality is absolutely superb and although there is a slash cancel it is certainly much smaller than what is usually seen.
Connecticut June 19, 1776 9d Gem Crisp Uncirculated.A broadly margined and very well embossed Connecticut note with excellent print quality. This note is uncancelled and is very scarce as such since most notes from this issue are slash cancelled. Worthy of a nice premium bid.
Connecticut June 19, 1776 1s/3d Fine, tears. Three approximate half inch tears are found along the right-hand edge, while a bottom tear reaches up approximately two inches into the body of the note. Still a bright note that has lost only a couple of letters of detail.
Massachusetts May 5, 1780 $2 Choice About Uncirculated.A very light centerfold is all that precludes this note from the CU grade.
New Jersey March 25, 1776 3s Plate B Gem Crisp Uncirculated.A lovely example from this common New Jersey issue which has very sharp print quality and abundant margins.
New Jersey March 25, 1776 30s Choice Crisp Uncirculated.A very crisp and well embossed New Jersey note with bold printing and fresh paper surfaces. This is a much tougher denomination to obtain and should not be overlooked for both its scarcity and quality.
New York March 5, 1776 $1/8 Fair. This well-worn scarce note has been sewed back together leaving a center hole. There is also loss of printing detail due to heavy circulation.
New York March 5, 1776 $1 Fine. The upper right-hand corner tip has been displaced, and there is also a small edge tear at bottom center. The printing ink remains dark on this note that was born during our country's gestation period.
New York March 5, 1776 $1 Good. The center fold displays an upper edge tear and a bottom edge tear, while the back exhibits a loss of detail.
North Carolina December, 1771 1s Very Good. This is a wonderful example of what is referred to as "pin money." The note is pinned in the middle essentially to keep it together. Otherwise the design is pretty well defined with a one legible signature and serial number.

A trivial pinhole and a partial red teller stamp ring are mentioned for accuracy, and should not discourage the most finicky of collectors. Very Fine+.
