Spectacular Assortment of Currency Rarities to be Offered at Auction!
Dallas, Texas: The Benjamin Rush Powel Collection of Confederate Currency and the Jim O'Neal Collection Part II are the central highlights of Heritage Auction Galleries' upcoming Currency Signature Auction. Also to be offered will be major holdings of Colonial Currency, Fractional Currency, Canadian Proofs, Rare Korean and Thai MPC, Large Size Type and National Bank Notes.
"This is the official currency auction of the Central States Numismatic Society convention," said Dustin Johnston, Consignment Director for Heritage, "and will take place on Thursday and Friday evenings, April 27-29, 2006 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, High Street at Nationwide Blvd., Columbus, Ohio. The convention center is also the site of the Central States Numismatic Society show, as well as the location for lot viewing for the currency auction as well as other Heritage events."
The 3200-lot auction features the aforementioned Powel and O'Neal Collections, as well as other important properties from over 170 individual consignors. The highlights include:
