Newly Discovered Wyoming Territory Ace-One of Three Known
Laramie City, WYT- $1 Original Fr. 382 The Wyoming NB Ch. # 2110
A great new discovery which becomes only the third ace known from Wyoming, all of which of course are Territorial examples. This was the sole bank to issue notes of this denomination in the Wyoming Territory, with a mere three thousand examples printed. One, which grades Fine, has been off the market for the past fifteen years since it last sold as part of the J.L. Irish collection of Territorials in 1997, and the second, which graded Very Fine, was sold as part of the Q. David Bowers collection of aces two years ago, where it fetched $74,750. PMG has graded this note Very Good 10 Net, mentioning a small repaired split which affects nothing, but the color and eye appeal of this Territorial easily match those of many notes we've seen in Fine or better holders. If rarity and desirability are any guide, expect bidding to easily reach and quite possible well exceed...
