Description:
Rare High Grade Kansas City Red Seal Hundred
Fr. 1081b $100 1914 Red Seal Federal Reserve Note PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45. This nice XF Kansas City Hundred Dollar Red Seal has the appearance of a Choice Unc note from the face. Two light folds can be seen on the back, and in the right margin, there is an all but invisible "Closed Pinhole," that PMG mentions. PMG has graded five of the sixteen Fr. 1081b's. This note is the second highest, behind a single 55. When this piece reaches the auction block, it will be the first Fr. 1081b to sell in any third-party holder. We sold an AU in May of 2005 for $11,500, and while we don't expect this gorgeous XF to reach that level, we would not be surprised if it came close.
